- DELIVERY OF DRUGS - CASE DISMISSED Client comes in after the police have searched his apartment. They have arrested him and charged him with dealing drugs. They find marijuana, cocaine, ecstacy and various other drugs in the apartment. Some of these drugs are in large quantities. The police have a "consent to search form" signed by the client. Mr. Mathur develops the strategy that the police obtained the consent form by forcing the client to sign and it and therefore, it is not legal. Mr. Mathur moves to suppress the evidence based on the fact that the police forced the client to sign the consent to search form. The Judge grants the motion and all of the evidence is thrown out of court, the prosecutor has no choice but to drop the case.
- DWI & DUI - NOT GUILTY client comes into the office after being pulled over on I-635. It is 2:00 a.m. when the police pulled the client over. The police find beer cans in the car, several empty and several in a cooler. The police also find a small amount of cocaine in the car. Trial strategy used by Mr. Mathur was that the client was the designated driver and that all the beer and drugs belonged to the passenger. Mr. Mathur moves for trial by jury. Jury finds client not guilty in less than one hour.
- DWI & DUI - DISMISSED client comes into office after police arrest him for DWI. They allege that his blood alcohol level was way over the legal limit. The police have a breathlyzer exam that shows the BAL to be over the legal limit. Strategy used by Mr. Mathur the case was not filed properly. Mr. Mathur moves to have the case dismissed because the police did not describe facts related to the stop enough. The Judge dismisses the case and it is never filed again.
- ASSAULT - DOMESTIC client is arrested for assault and if found guilty will be deported. Client's spouse wants a divorce and wants to use the criminal case to leverage the divorce. The police had taken pictures of the alleged victim, showing multiple scratches and wounds. The police also testified that the alleged victim had called them in distress and stated that the spouse had been abusive. The spouse testified against the client. Trial strategy developed by Sanjay S. Mathur was the alleged victim was the true abuser. The jury found the client not guilty in less than fifteen minutes.
- ASSAULT - DOMESTIC client is arrested and his wife has a bad bruise to the eye. The police have taken multiple photos of the house and of her. The police obtain 911 recordings where the wife has called for help. Additionally, they have a statement from the spouse. Mr. Mathur develops trial strategy that the bruising was a result of a combat by each spouse. Mr. Mathur moves for a trial by Jury. The Jury finds the client not guilty.
- ROBBERY - NOT GUILTY client is arrested for robbery after a person is robbed at gun point in downtown Dallas. The victim gives the police a description of two assailants over his cell phone. Police dispatch the description and find two people walking near the area that meet the description. They stop them and bring the victim to the scene. The victim picks Mr. Mathur's client out as the person who robbed him. The police arrest and search Mr. Mathur's client. The police find a weapon that matches the description given by the victim. Mr. Mathur develops a trial strategy that his client could not have been the person who committed the crime based on the time of events, location, witnesses and scientific test results. Additionally, that the victim who testified is mistaken about what occurred. Mr. Mathur moves for a trial. Result of the trial is that the client is found not guilty.
- PROSTITUTION - DISMISSALS several clients have been arrested for charges of trying to obtain prostitutes. Clients often are deeply concerned about these charges embarrasing them or their family.
